Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing

Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing Project is £5.1M project to support the implementation of product and process development and the introduction of technology within the SME manufacturing base within the NE LEP area. ERDF funding of £2.6M and the University of Sunderland are managing and investing £2.5M in delivery of this project. The University of Sunderland have committed significant academic resources and recruited industrial specialists to support the delivery of both practical and research support. The project has in excess of £800K in grants to support capital / product validation / tooling and other financial inhibitors to driving strategic development of both product and process.

The SAM Project is funded until December 2020 however, we recommend early engagement as resources are quickly becoming occupied with projects across the regions manufacturing SME base. The engineers / researchers / grants and access to capital are here for your support to get the North East leading the way in product / process and technology innovation.
